Diesel Benelux chose ‘Stadhaven Minerva’ – the creative hotspot of the port of Amsterdam – as a location for their headquarters. The rugged, industrial and innovative character of the Amsterdam Houthavens fits well with the typical Diesel DNA. This industrial feel is found back inside in the beautiful central double staircase made of steel in the atrium. The double staircase is repeated three times vertically. Each double staircase is supported in the ends of the horizontal part by 2 profiles IPE 180, one on each side. The stairs span almost eight meters.
Schijf WVB
Schijf WVB is a Dutch/Italian engineering office, specialized in steel stairways and railings. The work is completely in 3D. Since december 2000, they started using first PowerFrame and afterwards Diamonds to calculate the most complex staircases.
