In many of these projects, the ability to realistically calculate deformations of concrete structures proves crucial to ensure that architecturally pleasing designs are backed up by a structural design that meets the client\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A beautiful example is the Little Willy project, a guest house developed in collaboration with LOW architects, in which several cantilevered terraces have been realized using concrete building blocks. These blocks are &#8211; in a seemingly playful manner \u2013 built on top of and against an existing building. All in all, this structure is a relatively complex one and requires a 3D structural analysis to arrive at an optimal structural
