The top floor houses this building\u2019s technical systems, and its roof structure has been designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/cobe.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cobe<\/a> (<strong>Co<\/strong>nsultants <strong>b<\/strong>uilding &amp; <strong>e<\/strong>ngineering) as a steel structure (executed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dewandeler.be\/nl\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Metaalbouw De Wandeler<\/a>).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"818\" height=\"614\" src=\"http:\/\/www.build-soft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/cbp_cobe_diamant_gent_diamonds_geo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4262\" style=\"width:502px;height:auto\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.build-soft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/cbp_cobe_diamant_gent_diamonds_geo.jpg 818w, http:\/\/www.build-soft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/cbp_cobe_diamant_gent_diamonds_geo-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.build-soft.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/cbp_cobe_diamant_gent_diamonds_geo-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 818px) 100vw, 818px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abIn addition to the analysis models for the concrete structure of the Diamant office building, we built a separate 3D analysis model for the steel roof structure using Diamonds,\u00bb Cobe project engineer Bruno De Maegd explains. \u201cAs we are very pragmatic, we always opt for an approach tailored to the needs of the building project. That implies we do not necessarily build a 3D analysis model for every project we are involved in. However, since the Diamant building roof structure design proved to be irregular in shape, it was mandatory to perform a 3D structural analysis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns steel roof structure.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I do appreciate how easily you can build a 3D structural analysis model using Diamonds<\/strong>, and how this model can be organized efficiently by grouping primary trusses, secondary trusses, wind bracing, and other types of structural components. <strong>Moreover, Diamonds delivers a very economical structural design. <\/strong>In the case of the Diamant building roof structure, our design was virtually unchanged by the steel contractor.
